Russian President Vladimir Putin in an interview with the American Director Oliver stone said that NATO is engaged in “a constant search for an external enemy” to justify its existence.

“No more Eastern bloc, there is no more Soviet Union. Why then there is NATO? I believe that in order to justify its existence, NATO needs an external enemy, there is a constant search for an external enemy or some kind of provocation to call someone an enemy,” Putin said in an interview, excerpts of which are in English quoted by The Daily Beast.

The documentary “Interview with Putin” (The Moscow Interviews) will be shown from 12 to 15 June on the cable channel Showtime, included one of the largest us media group CBS.
