According to her, the election Commission member who issued the citizen a ballot for another voter or for repeated voting may be punished with a fine from 100 thousand to 300 thousand rubles or compulsory works for a term up to four years, or imprisonment for the same term. The authors of the initiative made by the heads of profile committees of state Duma and Council of Federation Pavel Krasheninnikov, and Andrei Klishas. Earlier the document was submitted to the government and the Supreme court for feedback. Both agencies supported the proposed changes.
