Deputy Minister of foreign Affairs of Russia Mikhail Bogdanov received the Ambassador of Qatar in Moscow Fahd al-Attya at his request.
“During the meeting the Ambassador outlined the views of the Qatari side in connection with the crisis situation that arose in relations between Qatar and several other Arab States,” — said in the statement.
Earlier it was reported that the Minister of foreign Affairs of Russia Sergey Lavrov held a telephone conversation with the foreign Minister of Qatar, Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman bin Jassem al-Thani.
June 5, diplomatic relations with Qatar broke already, seven States — Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, UAE, Egypt, Yemen, Libya and the Maldives.
