The inhabitants of Mozambique began to hunt for bald men
MOSCOW, 7 Jun — RIA Novosti. Police in Mozambique have warned residents of the country on ritual killings of bald people, reports The Guardian.
In the Central part of the country, near the border with Malawi, were found the remains of two bald men. The victims were cut off the head and removed the internal organs.
Investigators are inclined to believe that they were used for witchcraft rituals, as locals there is a belief about the wealth of all bald people.
This region of the country has been notorious for the persecution and murder of albinos. Some African tribes believe that body parts of people with impaired pigmentation possess magical powers. According to the UN, the victims of superstition were more than 100 people.
