The government approved a bill allowing the Russians to sell the garbage for recycling. About it writes “Kommersant”.

The initiator of the draft law by the Ministry of construction. According to the document, the households can sell separately collected waste to processing companies without a license and to enter into contracts with transporters.

In addition, the law provides incentives for separate waste collection. This will reduce the fee for maintaining a home for the residents. It is expected that by 2019, the regions will be transferred to the new scheme of waste management.

According to the special representative of the President of Russia on environmental issues, environment and transport, Sergei Ivanov, Russia has accumulated at least 60 billion tons of waste. He also added that since the USSR recycling of waste paper decreased from 50 to 7 percent.
