Russia will demand an extraordinary meeting of the UN security Council after the impact of the US coalition for Pro-government forces in Syria. It is an act of aggression, Russia will immediately raise the issue of the extraordinary convocation of the UN security Council,” — said the Senator. “This is a deliberate action aimed at weakening the offensive of Pro-government forces. It’s not a mistake,” — said Klintsevich.
“Our base is completely protected, including the s-400 and s-300. Russia has enough forces and means to protect not only themselves, but also Syria,” he stressed. According to him, the impact of the coalition is driven by its desire “to protect the project called ISIS”. “Pro-government forces effectively occur in Syria, and it can not disturb the other side,” — said Klintsevich.
The Chairman of the defense Committee of the Federation Council Viktor Ozerov, called the strike unjustified and indicated the desire of the West to remove President Bashar al-Assad. According to him, this action is indicative of the “double game”.
A similar position was expressed by Deputy head of the Duma Committee on defence Yury Shvydkin. “This can really be regarded as aggression. But the army of ATS, in my opinion, has a right of reply against anybody — US or any other aggressor,” he said. “If we talk about how our government in this case to respond, in my opinion, we must put the question immediately to a meeting of the UN Security Council,” he added. According to him, Russia has the right to propose to the UN security Council resolution condemning and preventing such actions. “The text of the resolution will come out of this situation in the framework of the strike,” — said the MP.
As stated by the head of the Duma Committee on international Affairs Leonid Slutsky, a new blow to the coalition once again confirms that the US actions are not directed against the terrorists and against Assad. However, Russia, according to him, will continue the policy of reconciliation and the establishment of zones of de-escalation.
As pointed out by his colleague in the Federation Council, Konstantin Kosachev, is astounding the desire of the coalition led by the United States to be protected from Syrian government forces, despite the fact that they are on the territory of this sovereign state.
On Tuesday, June 6, the coalition led by the US dealt a new blow to the Syrian Pro-government forces in the Al-Tape. The first blow was struck on may 18 in the same area.
“Islamic state”, which was previously called ISIS, made in Russia in the list of terrorist organizations, for participation in activities which provide for criminal liability.
