The Chairman of National anticorruption Committee Kirill Kabanov expects that after the arrest of Vice-governors Vladimir and Kursk regions Elena Mazanko and Vasily Zubkov will follow criminal cases against other officials and businessmen. His prognosis he shared in an interview with “Tape.ru” on Monday, June 5.
“In recent years, there is not just one of detention of the officials without arrest their subordinates and merchants,” said Kabanov, stressing that the corruption scheme usually cannot be tied to one person.
Speaking about the criminal case against Mazenko, who previously worked at the Kemerovo region administration, head of the NJSC did not rule out that the story of her detention may be related to criminal cases against deputies of the Kemerovo Governor Aman Tuleev.
Earlier on Monday it became known about detention of the Deputy head of the Kursk region, Chairman of regional Committee of regional security Vasily Zubkov. According to the Investigative Committee of Russia (TFR), concerning the official criminal case on suspicion of taking bribes, the defendants in the case are three of his alleged accomplices.
June 4, TFR opened a criminal case against Mataniko on the fact of receiving bribes in large and especially large size. Governor of Vladimir region Svetlana Orlova said that the charges are unlawful.
In November last year investigators opened a criminal case of extortion, three Tuleyev subordinates — his Deputy Alexander Danilchenko and Aleksei Ivanov and the chief of regional Department of administrative bodies of Elena and Trinity. In the same month the money was removed from office.
