The President of Russia Vladimir Putin on the sidelines of the St Petersburg international economic forum talked with the founder of Ethereum Vitalik Butorina, the head of state supported the idea of establishing business contacts with potential Russian partners, said the press Secretary of the President Dmitry Peskov.
“After talking with the heads of major corporations, the President met and briefly spoke with the founder of Ethereum Vitalik Baterina, one of the founders of the blockchain and cryptocurrency. Buterin talked about the possibility of using these technologies in the Russian Federation, the President supported the idea of establishing business contacts with potential Russian partners,” — said Peskov told reporters.
The St. Petersburg international economic forum, the world’s leading platform for business communication and discussion of key economic issues, is held this year June 1-3. MIA Russia today acts as information partner of the forum.
