In the state Duma warned the Crimean about instilling hatred towards Russia in Ukrainian universities

Crimean students do not need to get education in Ukrainian universities. This was stated by RIA Novosti, the state Duma Deputy from Sevastopol Dmitry Belik.

According to him, in these schools the students will be to instill a hatred of Russia. “The provision in Ukrainian universities preferences for Crimean students — no more than a provocation aimed at destabilizing the public opinion in the Crimean region”, — said the MP.

According to Belik, the Ukrainian authorities through education try to influence the younger generation in the Crimea.

Earlier, on 3 June the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has signed a law that allows the Crimean students to enroll in universities of Zaporizhzhya, Mykolaiv, Odesa and Kherson regions. At their reception is a quota — thousand people.

In February, the Ministry of education and science of Ukraine has cancelled the licenses of higher education institutions in Crimea and the breakaway territories of Donetsk and Lugansk national republics.

Crimea became part of Russia in March 2014 after a referendum in which the majority of residents supported this decision. The Ukrainian authorities did not recognize the results of voting and of joining the Peninsula is considered the annexation. Moscow claims that the procedure is in full compliance with international law.
