The polls: morality — the most common method of education in Russia

MOSCOW, 1 Jul — RIA Novosti. Teachings and sermons remain the most common method of education in Russia, also popular bans on many activities and restricting access to your computer, while the physical impact is already being applied not as often as 20 years ago, the survey showed the all-Russia centre of studying of public opinion (VTSIOM).

“The most common method of education, as 20 years ago… stay instructions and sermons: listen to them 78% of respondents, and also use/used 80% of the parents surveyed,” the message reads.

Still effective is the ban on various forms of leisure activities: watching TV, listening to music, walking — 43% of respondents have experienced it for yourself, 45% of parents applied to their children.

According to the study, physical force is losing its relevance: as a kid in the corner was 49% of Russians, and themselves punished in a similar way children of only 29%, spanking and cuffs receive 37%, distributed as 27 percent. Greatest “softening of manners” is evident in the most cruel of the measures presented: spanking practiced in the recent past only 12% of parents, whereas adults among our contemporaries the belt has experienced 33%.

According to the survey, deprivation of pocket money, as before, is used as punishment rather rare: in relation to 15 percent of adult Russians and 13% of today’s adults. In the age of the Internet and computer technology excommunication from the virtual world turns out to be more effective. The third most popular educational-a restraining method in relation to children in our day is to restrict access to the computer — it is practiced by 43% of parents.

Poll “polls-Sputnik” held on 23-24 may 2017, which was attended by 1.2 thousand respondents aged from 18 years through telephone interviews. The accuracy of research results does not exceed 3.5%.
