Ex-US President Barack Obama acquired in Washington for his family a house worth $8.1 million, reports The Washington Post. This mansion is the second value in this area of the city.

After the Obama family left the White house, the former President rented a mansion in the Kalorama district in the North-West of the us capital. But later Obama decided to purchase this home in the property. As reported the press Secretary of the former head of the United States, Obama family intends to live in the official capital of the United States at least another two and a half years. By this time Obama’s daughter, Sasha, finishes high school in Washington.

The house, which was bought by the family of ex-President of USA, was formerly press Secretary to bill Clinton Joe Lockhart. In addition, the district owns the property is the daughter of Donald trump, Ivanka and founder of Amazon Jeff Bezos.

After leaving the White house, family of Barack Obama gave an extended vacation, during which the ex-President with his wife traveled. He managed to visit as a tourist in French Polynesia, where he began working on his memoirs, in the Italian Tuscany. Publishing house Penguin Random House has already promised to pay the ex-US President and his wife $65 million for two books of memoirs about their life in the White house.
