The Dutch Parliament accepted the decision on Association of Ukraine with the European Union, citizens of the Kingdom wrapped around your finger. This opinion was expressed by the representative of the foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova, her words TASS reports.
“Did it his own leaders, once again employed the openly Russophobic propaganda, which, incidentally, is a direct confirmation of the anti-Russian essence of the Association Agreement EU — Ukraine, how much would any of us have claimed to the contrary”, — she told.
According to Zakharov, this solution will provide the official Kiev the time “to continue to feed the Ukrainians with tales of the “bright European future”. She stressed that, according to the conditions of Association, Ukraine is not granted the status of candidate country in the European Union.
Previously, on 30 may, the upper house of the Dutch Parliament approved the ratification of the Association agreement EU and Ukraine. Now the legislation must be signed by the king and published in the state journal. After that the document will come into force.
On 23 February, the lower house of the Dutch Parliament approved the ratification of the Association agreement between the EU and Ukraine. For made the majority of deputies, despite the results held on 6 April 2016, the referendum, the results of which 61 percent of participants voted against ratification.
The Association agreement between Ukraine and the EU was signed in June 2014.
