Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov said that Europe and the United States have to understand their relations, RIA “Novosti”.
“It needs to understand Europeans and Americans, it is not our issue,” he said in answer to a request of journalists to comment on the words of German Chancellor Angela Merkel about the need to take the fate of Europe into their own hands.
Peskov emphasized that “Russia has for centuries relied only on themselves”, despite the fact that is part of Europe.
Earlier it was reported that Merkel said that the EU can no longer rely on others.
