The Chinese side and the ASEAN countries have shown interest in the formation of a new economic space that would stretch from the Pacific to the Atlantic ocean.
The interest of the partners stated in the message of the head of the Russian foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov to the participants of the first Congress of the Assembly of peoples of Eurasia. It clarifies that the promotion of external linkages and processes for improved integration are a priority in foreign policy.
“We see this as a good opportunity to build a new economic space from the Atlantic to the Pacific ocean. We note with satisfaction that this idea is actively supported Chinese friends, the interest of ASEAN shows a dozen”, – said Lavrov.
According to the head of the foreign Ministry, the meeting will contribute to the development of good-neighbourly relations and mutually beneficial cooperation.
We will remind, in may, Lavrov voiced the prospects of cooperation between Russia and the West.
