In Moscow will limit traffic speed on emergency sites of roads
MOSCOW, may 29 — RIA Novosti. On emergency sites of roads in the Moscow region will limit the speed, reported the press service of the Ministry of transport of the region.
“From June 15, the speed of traffic on the emergency regional roads of the suburbs, passing on human settlements, will be reduced to 50 kilometers per hour. All the restriction will apply to the ten roads of regional significance in 168 settlements. The list will include the Pyatnitskoe shosse, Egorievsk, Mozhaisk, Starosambirskiy, Kashirskoe, nosovikhinskoe, Rogachev highway “Moscow-Zhukovsky”, “Shchyolkovo-Fryanovo” and Volokolamsk highway. On highways will establish appropriate limits road signs”, — is spoken in the message.
As the Ministry noted, at the end of 2016 in the Moscow region in the accident killed 1181 people, of whom 430 were killed in the settlements.
“A limitation of the maximum allowed speed in settlements for 10 most emergency regional routes of up to 50 kilometers per hour is aimed at reducing the number of fatalities. Almost 40% of people killed in road accidents in settlements. Thus, the main types of violations are pedestrians and collisions of vehicles,” — said the head of Department Igor Treskov, which quoted the press service.
