The head EMERCOM of Russia Vladimir Puchkov on Friday demanded from all heads of local authorities in the Stavropol region to roll up their sleeves and work 24 hours a day.
Due to heavy rainfall in the region flooded hundreds of houses, home to more than a thousand people. Of the flood affected population of 19 settlements in 10 districts.
“Disgrace that you are still walking in white shirts and ties. Roll up your sleeves and go to the people, bring to them information about all the decisions… All meetings cancel. Solve all the problems in the field quickly and efficiently,” — said the Minister at a meeting of the working group.
However, the Minister thanked the police, which patrols the flooded towns to prevent looting.
Meanwhile, EMERCOM of Russia strengthened the group in the Stavropol region for the speedy elimination of consequences of floods, said the head of the regional Glaucus Ministry Alexander Ivanitsky.
