MOSCOW, may 26. /TASS/. Russian foreign Ministry urges Russians who are in Egypt to avoid visiting of places of a mass congestion of people. This was stated by the Agency in connection with the recent terrorist attack on Coptic Christians in Egyptian province of Minya.
Unknown armed persons opened fire from automatic weapons at a bus carrying pilgrims in the vicinity of the monastery of St. Samuel, recalled in the Ministry. “The victims of the attack were 23 people, injured 25. Among the dead are children, — noted the Minister. — The time and place of this crime suggests that it was premeditated.”
“This disgusting action has once again demonstrated the inhuman nature of international terrorists, not disdain any means to achieve their nefarious purposes — to instill in the hearts of the Egyptians a sense of fear and uncertainty, to sow inter-religious hatred”, — said in depodesta.
Moscow has reiterated its “principled position of categorical rejection and condemnation of any acts of terrorism regardless of the motives of their ideological inspirers and performers”. “We declare our solidarity with the leadership and people of Egypt in the decisive struggle against terrorism and extremism.
