MOSCOW, may 24. /TASS/. The state Duma adopted in the third final reading a package of amendments to the electoral law, abolishing absentee ballots in elections, and giving the opportunity to not vote at the place of registration, and where you are. This applies to the presidential election in March 2018 and to the regional elections, starting from September 10 this year.

The package of proposals on the correction of the election legislation introduced in early March, the head of the Federation Council Committee on constitutional legislation and state construction Andrey Klishas and his colleague Anatoly Shirokov. The initiative, developed with the participation of the CEC, was approved by the lower chamber on first reading April 12 and amended for the second reading. So, initially the mechanism of voting at the place of residence was given solely at the mercy of the CEC, and the subsequent revision of the framework of rules of regulations of the Central election Commission was enshrined in the bill.

According to the document, the citizen can be included in the list of voters, in advance of submitting an application at the place of residence in the manner prescribed by the CEC. The law sets deadlines for when you can do it – not earlier than 45 days before election day and no later than 14:00 on the Saturday before the election. Apply will be possible only at presence of the passport or temporary ID if the passport change.

The TEC, PEC, MPC, and “public Services”

Apply, as explained in the CEC, territorial election commissions (TECS) not earlier than 45 days before the election and not later than five days and in the precinct electoral Commission (PEC) not earlier than 10 days before the election and not later than five days.
