First Deputy Chairman of state Duma Committee on housing policy and housing Alexander Sidyakin climbed the world’s highest peak Everest and planted the flags of Russia and Tatarstan, which it is a representative in the lower house.
“State Duma Deputy Alexander Sidyakin conquered Everest. Hoisted the flags of Russia, Tatarstan,” – said TASS assistant to the Deputy.
He noted that the Russian expedition “for the first time when climbing was performing a humanitarian mission”. “Covered dead bodies on the climbing route with a special fabric, expressing a tribute to the dead. Now, the expedition descended to base camp,” he said.
In March 2015, Sidyakin stated intention to conquer Everest after he made a trip to Antarctica in January of the same year.
