MOSCOW, may 22. /TASS/. At least three climbers were killed and one was missing for the last two days in the ascent to the summit of mount Everest from the Nepalese side. This was reported in the Sunday Washington Post newspaper, citing data from the representatives of tourist industry and mass media of the Republic.

According to the publication, may 21 it became known about the death of a Slovakian climber and citizen of the United States. The Himalayan Times newspaper, in turn, writes about yet another victim — the Australian who died as a result of altitude sickness, accompanied by oxygen starvation.

At the moment we are searching for a missing climber from India.

Everest (Chomolungma, 8848 m is the highest peak of the Earth located in the Himalayas. Since 1953, when it was done the first ascent, killing more than 200 climbers. Each year trying to conquer Everest about 500 people. The ascent takes about two months — with acclimatization and installation of the camps. Just today a mountain climbed more than 4 thousand people.
