Deputies from LDPR Alexey Didenko, Alexander shereen and Anton Morozov introduced a bill that allows the Governor to hold office for only one term – five years.
According to the authors of the bill, the term of the post of the higher official of the subject of Russia should be less in comparison with the period stipulated by the constitutional provision for the President (two consecutive terms).
“Much smaller scale of problems to be solved by the head of the Russian Federation, provides not only a shorter term of office is five years, but fewer such terms, Respectively, head of the Russian Federation should replace the office only one term”, — justify the proposed innovation of its developers.
Follow fill the position by the current Governor is allowed with the consent of the President of the Russian Federation.
