The Chairman of the Duma Committee on security and combating corruption Vasily Piskarev intends to apply to the Prosecutor General with the requirement to verify the statement of the Deputy head of the Russian branch of Transparency International Elias Shumanova about the Deputy Natalia Polonskaya. On Sunday, may 21, reports “Interfax”.
According to Piskareva, the request will be sent to the Supervisory authority on Monday. “We have to protect our citizens from all threats, especially those, who are passionate, responsible and committed to their work. Because the statement of the Deputy head of Transparency International Russia Ilya Shumanov we intend to ask law enforcement bodies”, — he said.
The MP also said that the foreign funds must comply with the laws of the countries in which carry out their activities (Transparency International is an international nongovernmental organization with headquarters in Berlin — approx. “Of the tape.ru”). “Especially if companies are positioning themselves as institutions of public control over observance of the legislation”, — concluded the Piskarev.
Earlier statement Shumanova already commented on the head of the faction “United Russia” in the state Duma Vladimir Vasiliev. He described his words as blackmail, and called it “totally unacceptable”.

So he reacted to interview of the Deputy of the state Duma RNS, in which she spoke about Russian branch of Transparency International and the Fund of struggle against corruption (FBK), founded by opposition leader Alexei Navalny.
