The Federation Council speaker Valentina Matviyenko, speaking about a possible tightening of legislation after explosion of household gas in an apartment building in Volgograd, stated that at first it is necessary to wait for the results of the investigation, and noticed that no country in the world has not yet invented, how the law is to prescribe measures to combat stupidity.

Let’s wait for the investigation, understand what happened, and then think about whether there is a need to improve the legislation or hard to restore order and punish those who thus conducts himself, not thinking that they endanger civilians, which leads to such results”, — she told journalists at the international forum of border regions in Pskov.
