Hassan Rouhani elected President of Iran

The current President of Iran Hassan Rouhani re-elected for a second term. This was announced by the Minister of foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic abdolreza Rahmani Fazli, reports Reuters.

“From 41.2 million votes Rouhani has 23.5 million and won the election,” said the Minister.

Rival Rouhani, Ebrahim Raisi, has received 15.8 million votes. According to the source Agency, the turnout was about 70 percent, which roughly corresponds to elections in 2013, the results of which Rouhani became President.
