Zhirinovsky has proposed to increase spending on culture to 1% of GDP

Need to increase budget expenditures on culture up to 1% of GDP, said the Chairman of the liberal democratic party Vladimir Zhirinovsky.

“Now 0.5% of GDP, abroad of 1.5%. At least let’s up to 1% will increase”, — said Zhirinovsky, speaking in the Duma on the results of the governmental hour with the participation of Minister of culture of Russia Vladimir Medinsky.

In addition, the MP put forward an alternative proposal. “Now 100 billion (rubles) will be reduced – not need to do limit: 100 billion – a penny less for the culture”, — concluded the Deputy.
