Turkey has offered to replace U.S. representative in the coalition against ISIS

Ankara urged Washington to change the US special envoy Brett Makhorka in the anti-terrorist coalition to combat grouping “Islamic state” (IG, is prohibited in Russia). This was stated by Minister of foreign Affairs of Turkey Mevlut Cavusoglu, reports Anadolu.

In an interview with NTV channel, Cavusoglu said that during his recent visit to Washington, the Turkish side received assurances from U.S. partners that weapons sent US Syrian Kurds will not be used against Ankara.

A complete list of supplies was not disclosed, but presumably it will include 120-mm mortars, machine guns, and light armored vehicles. In Washington explained that this decision will make it possible to capture the stronghold of militants. The US believes the Kurds are the most effective fighting partner in the fight against ISIS in the North and East of Syria.
