The draft comprehensive plan of socio-economic development of the Baikal region for the period up to 2030, developed on behalf of the President of the Russian Federation the government of the Zabaykalsky Krai jointly with the Ministry of economic development submitted to the government of the Russian Federation and will be considered in the near future, told RIA Novosti in the press service of the head region.
Earlier it was reported that Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed the Federal government up to 1 may 2017 to approve the comprehensive plan for socio-economic development of the Baikal region. The plan will run until 2030. The government of the region together with scientists, entrepreneurs and the General public worked to create a document.
“The Russian government will soon consider the comprehensive plan of socio-economic development of the Baikal region. Are the editors of the comprehensive plan contains 159 events. Another 70 to the activities proposed by the regional government, will be held conciliation proceedings with the relevant Federal authorities under the leadership of Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Kozak”, — reported the government.
According to the Vice Prime Minister-Minister of economic development of Irkutsk region Sergey Novichenko, all activities of the project are essential for socio-economic development of the region. In the field of foreign trade proposes to enter into an agreement between Russia and China on the establishment of the border area of joint economic development through cooperation between the Zabaikalye territory, the Autonomous region of Inner Mongolia and the Heilongjiang province of the PRC. An important factor of cross-border cooperation of regional authorities consider reconstruction of checkpoints across the state border of the Russian Federation Zabaikalsk, Top ul’khun, Starocherkasskiy, Solov’evsk and Aloci.
It is also planned reconstruction of the airport complex “Tolmachevo” in Chita, construction and reconstruction of roads important for cross-border energy infrastructure for the implementation of major investment projects in Zabaykalsky Krai — development of Zur coal deposits, Udokan copper Deposit, chineyskiy Titano-magnetite Deposit and construction of gold-extracting factory “Nasadkino”.
A separate unit in the comprehensive plan identified activities of social development of the Transbaikal region: the construction of medical stations in the districts of the region, the trauma of an item in Chita, the creation of a children’s rehabilitation centre with capacity of 300 thousand visits per year.
It also refers to the elaboration of the question of subsidizing long-haul transportation of passengers to Simferopol, Moscow, Saint Petersburg and Sochi, as well as air transportation to remote and inaccessible locations, are not provided with alternative means of transport.
