Mizulina will submit to the Duma a bill on the registration of marriage outside the registry office

MOSCOW, may 18 — RIA Novosti. The first Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on constitutional legislation Elena Mizulina will submit to the Duma a bill providing for the possibility of official registration of marriage not only in registry offices, but also outside their walls.

Earlier in the registry office of Moscow said that the marriage will no longer be accompanied by additional chargeable services that are provided by private entrepreneurs: in particular, instead of live music since may 1, will sound only track. In some Russian regions, such restrictions on commercial services in the registry office was introduced in 2015.

“I believe such restrictions are absolutely wrong. The ban on live music, the rose petals and the traditional glass of champagne — it is the kinks. Every couple who chooses to marry, has his own ideas about how to spend this most important day for them, as to make it truly special. Why deprive them of this opportunity? Why in this joyous moment of life to prevent people to Express their emotions the way they want to?” — quoted by Mizulina’s press service.

According to the Senator, the bill on marriage registration of the marriage will allow the couple to celebrate their wedding the way they want. Mizulina recalled that this document had already been submitted to the state Duma of the Tyumen regional Duma, but the lower house rejected it.

“I will carefully consider the grounds for rejection of the bill, will prepare a new version and again will bring a similar initiative to the Council. We, legislators, should make every effort to stimulate the desire of Russians to marry,” said the Senator.
