MOE found an explanation for the reported release of hydrogen sulfide in Moscow

The reason for the messages of exceeding the maximum permissible concentration of hydrogen sulfide in the area Kapotnya in the South-West of Moscow was the fault sensor automatic stations of Mosekomonitoring. About it RIA Novosti said a source in the EMERCOM of Russia in Moscow.

At the same time, the press service of the administration confirmed that the mobile laboratory has not fixed the excessive air pollution in Kapotnya.

Previously, on 17 may it was reported that the concentration of hydrogen sulfide in the area exceeded the norm in 51 times.

Kapotnya is located in the Moscow refinery.

Hydrogen sulfide — a colorless gas with an unpleasant odor. It is harmful to health even in small concentrations in air can cause dizziness, headache, nausea. In large concentrations is poisonous.
