At the same time, the amount paid was significantly lower than the initial estimates: per lot was expected to fetch $ 70 million.

Both stones are devoid of any flaws and was extracted in the mines of South Africa. The earrings buyer chose to remain anonymous.

The earrings were called “Apollo and Artemis”. They are completely identical except for the color — brilliant Artemis pink, Apollo blue.

In this regard, the cost of Brilliantov also vary. Stone “Artemis” was sold for 15.5 million dollars, and “Apollo” for 42.5 million

This difference in price is due to the fact that blue diamonds are less common than pink.
