Residents of the regions suffer from lack of safe drinking water
These are the findings of Rosstat.
Research of Rosstat showed that safe drinking water for the inhabitants of some regions still remain inaccessible.
As previously reported by “Izvestia”, in 2016 in Russia the situation with the availability of clean drinking water that meets all safety regulations, improved by 0.37% compared to the year 2015.
At the same time, more than ten regions of Russia the situation only became worse.
For example, in the Vologda region, the accessibility rate is only 42.9 percent. Difficult situation is also celebrated in Karachay-Cherkessia, the Kurgan region, the Republic of Buryatia Kostroma region, and also in several other Russian regions.
The best situation with the availability of clean drinking water — in the Leningrad region and St.-Petersburg, Stavropol region and the Saratov region, and also in the Republic of Chuvashia.
