In London named winners of the BAFTA TV

Moscow. May 15. INTERFAX.RU — the British Academy of film and television arts on Sunday evening in London has awarded the creators of the best of the national series last year, reports The Hollywood Reporter.

The winner in the main nomination (best drama series) was Happy valley with Sarah Lancashire in the lead role, which was named best actress. The victory of “Happy valley” in both categories yielded large-scale historical painting “Crown”, which received two Golden globes.

The award for best actor went to Adil Akhtar, who starred in “Killed my father.” Benedict Cumberbatch, for whom this was the sixth nomination, this time for playing Shakespearean film adaptation of “the Empty crown”, is again left with nothing.

Best actor was Tom Hollander for his work in the film adaptation of the novel of John Le Carre’s “the Night clerk”.
