Turkish authorities announced the details of the accident with a tourist bus

ANKARA, may 13 — RIA Novosti, Alain Palazhchenko. No foreigners among those killed in crash of bus with tourists in Marmaris on the route muğla-Antalya in the South-West of Turkey, said Saturday the Governor of Mugla province Amir Cicek.

“It was a tour bus. No foreigners, all the victims are our citizens,” said Cicek, the TV channel NTV.

He added that the cause of the accident could be the loss of driver control, and the burst tire of the bus, in the accident the car turned over on a dangerous turn of the mountain road.

As stated by the Deputy Governor of the province of Mugla Camille Ketene, the bus was carrying tourists from the Turkish province of Izmir, the cause of the accident could be a failed brake.

“It was a day trip from the city of Buca Izmir province in Marmaris. The accident occurred at 12.30 (same as GMT). Perhaps the brakes failed on the hairpin turn. Most of the victims were women of middle age”, — he declared on air of TV channel NTV.
