In Belorechensk (Krasnodar Krai), the court has sentenced ten members of the colony for juveniles charged with beating of prisoners. The prison chief Vladislav Ivanov was sentenced to five years of imprisonment, informs “Interfax”.

Two employees, Arsen shamkhalov and Andrei Krivolapov, whose actions led to the death of 16-year-old Ukrainian Vitali Butt got 11 years of imprisonment in a strict regime colony. Other staff involved in the beatings — Paul Grizin, Valery Zadneprovsky, Roman Bersenev, Valery Savchenko, Musa’i, Sergei Labinsky and the operative person on duty Sergey Andrusenko — sentenced to terms ranging from 2.5 to 5 years of imprisonment.

All the convicts for three years deprived of the right to work in law enforcement.

According to the prosecution, the organizer of the crime was made by the head of the correctional institution. He gave the unlawful orders of the deactivation surveillance cameras. Also according to his instructions, at night the guards carried out “preventive work” with newly arrived prisoners.

In March, in the Sverdlovsk region has sentenced five police officers convicted in the torture of detainees. In 2014, during the investigation of criminal case about murder of employees of the Zarechny branch detained three local residents, took them to the building OMVD and in one of the rooms started torturing, demanding confessions. As a result, one of the victims incriminated himself, although it was not a crime of any relationship.
