Meeting of the President of the United States Donald trump and Minister of foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov was effective, said the Chairman of the Duma Committee on international Affairs Leonid Slutsky. It is reported by RIA “Novosti”.
“Meeting of Minister of foreign Affairs of Russia Sergey Lavrov in Washington with Secretary of state [USA Rex Tillerson] and the President of the United States was uniquely rewarding. Cross-contacts — Tillerson in Moscow and Lavrov in Washington — provide a good basis for the organization of the first meeting of the Russian and American leaders, which is scheduled in July, “fields” summit G20″, – said Slutsky.
He also noted that during the dialogue the level of relations rises from “near zero” to the working and constructive. Slutsk stressed that no one was expecting instant warming.
“But the consistent conduct pragmatic discussion of all the key points of the international agenda augur well for the development of constructive relations between Russia and the United States and the coming eventually to a common denominator” – said the Deputy.
Earlier it was reported that Tillerson and Lavrov agreed to discuss relations between Russia and the United States, through surrogates.
