VTSIOM: Russians blame the disease
Most Russians believe the work of the cause of their diseases, it follows from the results of a survey conducted by the all-Russia centre of studying of public opinion (VTSIOM).
“The health problems our citizens blame first of all the work and stress (35%), and lack of money for medicine and disease prevention (35%), bad ecology (32%)” , — quotes RIA Novosti news Agency poll results.
Two years ago to the disease because of the work complained 47% of respondents.
Also the reasons of their sickness and poor health respondents referred to the age and accumulated years problems, inability to relax (28%), bad habits and lack of physical activity (15%), heredity (14%), work in hazardous environments or living near factories (13%), malnutrition (13%).
The majority of Russians-participants of the survey are satisfied with their health 30% good health, about half consider it to be satisfactory.
A third of respondents with health problems self-medicates, 46% treated in public health facility, one in ten prefer a private pay clinic, and 1% of respondents — the people’s medicine.
According to the Russian Ministry of health, morbidity of major diseases in recent years has remained approximately at the same level. In 2015 (no more recent data), this figure in Russia amounted to about 114 thousand people.
It should be noted that the statistics on morbidity are taken into account only diagnoses patients for the first time in their lives, and not the total number of visits to doctors.
