To consider the introduction of excise duty on Mead, produced from domestic raw materials, ordered the government of Russian President Vladimir Putin stated on the Kremlin website.
Proposals for the classification of Mead to agricultural production and establishment for her reduced rate of excise duty should be prepared in the period until 1 July 2017.Instruction is given on the results of the meeting with representatives of the business associations in Novgorod region, which was held on April 18. Entrepreneurs then drew the President’s attention to the fact that Mead as it relates to alcoholic beverages, the excise duty on it has increased more than two times. From January 1 2017 the amount of the excise tax on Mead is 21 rubles per liter.
The President noted that manufacturers Mead did “not very fair”. “We believe, to support those who produce the ultimate product of its components”, – said the President. Mead just refers to products that are completely manufactured on the basis of Russian components. The list of agricultural products included cider.
