Minister of education and science has ruled out reducing the number of budget places in universities
Moscow. May 10. INTERFAX.RU More than half of high school graduates this year is the budget places in universities according to the results of the campaign of the Unified state examination, said the Minister of education and science of the Russian Federation Olga Vasilyeva.
“I want to reassure parents that no major changes will not. Moreover, this year, 57 percent of graduates of Russian schools can quite easily know that they are in low places”, — said Olga Vasilyeva, in an interview with TV channel “Russia-24” (VGTRK).
However, Vasilyev recalled that the control numbers of admission were distributed among the specialties, the universities will provide more budget places in demand — engineering, medical and pedagogical specialties, and less are less popular, for example, for legal.
