The USA extended for one year sanctions against Syria

The US President Donald trump on Tuesday, may 9, for another year extended sanctions against the Syrian government. This is stated in the notice, the press service of the White house.

As follows from the document, Washington condemns hard violence and violation of human rights by the regime of Syrian President Bashar Assad and urged him to stop violence against the Syrian people.

The paper recalled that the first sanctions were imposed against Syria in may 2004, “as a response to the unusual and extraordinary threat to the national security, foreign policy and economy of the United States.”

On the night of 7 April by order of the President of the United States Donald trump was dealt a missile attack on a government aircraft used by Syria to the airport shirt.
