Sand from the shore of the island off the West coast of Ireland completely washed away after storms in 1984 — there are only stones.

However, only a few days in April the Atlantic ocean, returned all stolen by the tide on the beach thrown thousands of tons of sand. The result was a new sandy beach 300 meters long.

Emmett Callahan of the local tourist office told Bi-bi-si that the locals are in awe of what happened.

“The people here told me about how used to spend time at the beach and how they loved there kids and now here they are with their children — it’s incredible,” said Callahan.
