The Minister of foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov and Minister of foreign Affairs of Germany, Sigmar Gabriel, during a telephone conversation on Friday confirmed their readiness to cooperate closely in the framework of the Normandy format to resolve the conflict in Ukraine, said the Russian foreign Ministry.
“Ministers reaffirmed their readiness to continue close cooperation in the framework of the “Norman format” in order for a speedy settlement of the internal Ukrainian conflict on the basis of full execution by the parties of “Complex measures”. Stressed the need to ensure sustainable cease-fire, the establishment of security zones and the withdrawal of heavy weapons. From the Russian side pointed to the priority of the parallel progress in the implementation of the political sections of the Minsk agreements. S. V. Lavrov also urged to exert influence on the Kiev authorities to ensure the removal of trade-economic and transport blockade”, — is spoken in the message published on the website of the foreign Ministry.
