The program of renovation of dilapidated housing in Moscow should be implemented for the benefit of citizens. This statement was made by Russian President Vladimir Putin. His words RIA Novosti reported.
“It is only necessary to properly and these ideas were implemented to benefit people, not harm. There are problems about which we know, the mayor (Sergey Sobyanin – ed. Rambler) talked about this already. I hope everything will be adjusted in accordance with the wishes of the citizens”, — said Putin.
His statement Putin made at a joint meeting of the State Council and the presidential Commission on monitoring of achievement of target indicators of social and economic development. The President noted that to implement the programme it is necessary without violating the “fundamental rights of citizens, including in the area of their property rights”. On may 2, the Moscow authorities have published a list of 4566 five-story building, where residents will vote on the inclusion of their homes in a program of renovation of housing. The final list will include only those houses where more than two thirds of the population will support the renovation. The voting will take place from 15 may to 15 June. 14 may on the Academician Sakharov Avenue held a rally against the renovation program. It is expected that the event will take part about 5 thousand people.
