In Hanover evacuated about 50 thousand people from defusing bombs during the war

Moscow. May 6. INTERFAX.RU — About 50 thousand inhabitants of the German city of Hanover on Sunday will be forced to leave their homes during clearance operations from five bombs during the Second world war, said on Saturday the radio and television BBC.

The authorities expect that by Sunday evening, residents will be able to return home.

The evacuation, planned for nine o’clock in the morning, will affect not only residential houses, but also, among others, medical clinics and plant. Residents are advised to take along the most necessary medicines and not to forget to turn off gas and electrical appliances.

The city government organized a series of events especially for evacuees. It — visits to museums and sporting events, film screenings for children.

In addition, Hanover will prepare tens of thousands of servings of soup for distribution to local residents.
