MOSCOW, may 6 — RIA Novosti. Commission on the election campaigns of presidential elections of France urged the media to refrain from publication of the data contained in the leaked correspondence from the election headquarters of the candidate in presidents of France Emmanuel Makron.

“…In anticipation of the meeting of the Commission, which will take place in the next few hours, the Chairman drew the attention of the media on the sense of responsibility which they must demonstrate, as to endanger the free expression of voters and the authenticity of the vote. Thus, it requires of the media, and in particular of their Internet sites, not to report the content of these data, Recalling that the dissemination of false information can be prosecuted under the law”, — reads the statement of the Commission.

According to the document, the authorized representative of the headquarters of Macron contacted the Commission after the information attack, which was distributed data, “part of which probably consists of about” information.

Previously, the organization WikiLeaks announced a major leak of emails of staff of the candidate in presidents of France Emmanuel Makron. We are talking about hundreds of thousands of emails, photos and apps, Dating to 24 April 2017, about nine gigabytes as a whole, says WikiLeaks.

The team of Macron condemned a hacking attack on the e-mail and stated that in addition to the real letters were published fake documents.
