Any unfriendly steps against Russia or its allies will be followed by the appropriate symmetric response, said the first Deputy Chairman of the Duma Committee on defense Andrei Krasov. Thus he commented on the intention of the U.S. to monitor the implementation of sanctions against the DPRK including in Russian ports, RIA Novosti reported on Friday, may 5.
“Why should America put himself on duty, who gave such power to control the sea ports of our country?” asked Krasov. He stressed that Washington’s plans do not fit into the concept of maintaining international security.
“In any case, no American ship in our waters will not be included. Our armed forces and our fleet have all the means dared to enter our territorial waters severely punished,” — said the Deputy.
In his opinion, the position of the American administration is “saber rattling”, and after Europe and the Middle East, the United States “are beginning to rattle the saber in the Asia-Pacific region.”
On may 4, the house of representatives of the United States Congress approved a bill allowing tougher sanctions against North Korea. The document aims at maintaining Americans reporting regarding compliance with the sanctions regime the ports of China (Dandong, Dalian), Iran (Abadan, Bandar Abbas, Bushehr), Syria (Latakia, Tartus) and the Russian Primorye (Nakhodka, Vanino and Vladivostok).
