Zakharova: the situation on the Korean Peninsula is deteriorating

In Moscow have concluded that the situation on the Korean Peninsula continues to deteriorate.

This was stated by the official representative of Russian foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova.

“The situation on the Korean Peninsula continues to deteriorate, – said the diplomat. In the heart of this trend is the unwillingness of the warring parties to abandon the confrontational approach and betting on the force of the existing problems in favor of dialogue and positive agenda.”

“Of particular concern is the concentration of the strike group the U.S. Navy in northeast Asia and counter the militancy of the rhetoric of Pyongyang”, – said Zakharov.

The Russian delegation at a special meeting of the UN Security Council on North Korea on April 28, will be headed by Deputy Minister of foreign Affairs of Russia Gennady Gatilov head, said Zakharov.

“Today, more than ever, demand joint efforts to achieve common military-political détente, collective search of ways of settlement of the whole complex of the existing problems at the negotiating table, the diplomat said. – Look forward to a constructive discussion of the situation on the Korean Peninsula in the course is scheduled for April 28 special meeting of the UN security Council, which will be attended by Deputy Minister of foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Mr. Gatilov”.
