The coast guard of great Britain was arrested on Sunday seven people, presumably citizens of Ukraine, after their yacht ran aground at the mouth of the river EO. On Monday, may 1, reports the Ipswich Star.

The incident occurred in the town of Orford in Suffolk in the East of the UK. The 8-meter sailing yacht had issued a distress signal at around noon. Arrived on the scene rescuers towed the vessel to a safe place where passengers were waiting staff and border guards.

The suspects were taken to police headquarters where they were charged with illegal border crossing

On 6 April the European Parliament supported the Commission’s proposal to provide the citizens of Ukraine visa-free regime. Now the decision must be confirmed at the meeting of the Committee of permanent representatives of member countries of the European Union, with subsequent approval by the EU Council. Further, the text of the act must be signed by the President of the European Parliament and a representative of the EU presidency country.

On the same day the Director of the Ukrainian Institute of policy analysis and management Ruslan Bortnik predicted the disappointment of Ukrainians in visa-free regime with the EU. “It is not about the abolition of visas and on visa liberalization. People for tourism purposes can enter the Schengen area for a period of not more than 90 days. And then you need to have a biometric passport, to be able to prove their financial viability. For work, study, treatment, to stay in the EU, the Ukrainians will have to obtain visas,” — said Bortnik.

7 April the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said that the visa-free regime with the EU is evidence of the initiation of the country to European civilization. “This is a clear marker of the fact that Ukraine — part of United Europe, from Lisbon to Kharkov, and we share common values,” — said the head of state.

9 APR on Ukraine collapsed on the website of the state company “Document,” which temporarily suspended the processing and issuance of passports. The head of the MIA of Ukraine Arsen Avakov said on his page on Facebook dramatically increased the demand for passports. “It is not excluded that in the first queue time will increase slightly, but I’m sure we’ll manage, everyone will be able to execute documents and to go to Europe without visa GIMP”, — he wrote.
