According to the city Weather Bureau, thermometers recorded a plus of 24.8 degrees.
“So, today was the warmest since the beginning of this year in Moscow. Before that the warmest was considered the day of April 30. On Sunday, the air in the capital warmed to 24.5 degrees,” — said the representative of the weather service.
The record of the day (plus 26.3 degrees) belongs to 1977.
According to preliminary forecasts of weather forecasters, the summer heat will last in Moscow until Wednesday. In the second half of the week cooling is expected. In the night of Friday, the air can cool down to minus 2 degrees, the day will be about 10 degrees.
