MOSCOW, April 28. /TASS/. Strategic bombers Tu-160 and Tu-95MS bombers and about 50 aircraft and helicopters took part in the checking of associations, formations and units of the aerospace defence forces of Russia. About it journalists were reported by the chief of the HQs of the Russian Federation, Colonel-General Viktor Bondarev.
“The auditing of associations, formations and units of the aerospace defence forces has confirmed the readiness of all the armed forces to effectively perform their tasks in a timely manner and protect our facilities from existing and promising means of aerospace attack,” he said.
The test crews strategic bombers Tu-95MS worked relocation to operational airfields and conditional launches of cruise missiles of air basing, and the Tu-160 has performed the supersonic flights.
The commander said that crews of su-27 fighters made interception of air targets, helicopters carried out launches of unguided rockets and aviation ordnance on ground targets on the range. In addition, calculations of air defense units practiced detecting, tracking and conditional destruction of enemy aircraft, flying which imitated the crews of long-range, Military transport, tactical and army aviation.
“Just to test attracted more than 50 aircraft, about 100 units of anti-aircraft missile and Radiotechnical troops (system s-400, s-300 complexes “Carapace-s”, radar),” he listed Bondarev.
