Lavrov called unprofessional statements about “delivering” Russia arms to Taliban

The Minister of foreign Affairs of Russia Sergey Lavrov called unprofessional statements about the alleged supplies of Russian weapons to the Taliban*.

He stated at the bilateral talks with the OSCE Secretary General, Lamberto Zannier.

“As for the statements about allegedly supplied arms to the Taliban, who heard from the military in Washington and from the military, who run the US group in the region, including Afghanistan, the lay statements are not based on anything”, — said Lavrov on the question of RT.

According to him, nobody makes any supporting fact negative statements about Russia.

“I am convinced that those who are in the U.S. get the money to deliver to management accurate intelligence information to know that they’re false allegations,” — said Lavrov.

He also noted that he is convinced that “these people know who arms and supports ISIS” in Iraq, Syria and Afghanistan.

* The Taliban — the Islamist movement, banned in Russia.
